Manufacturing capabilities

Eight capabilities. One factory. Sixty metres end-to-end.

Extrusion, forging, CNC turning, sliding-head, VMC, secondary operations, finishing, and inspection — all on a single integrated floor in Dared GIDC, Jamnagar. Short loops, tight control, no logistics handoffs.

CNC Turning

Our CNC turning fleet runs production-grade brass parts in two- and four-axis configurations, with live tooling for cross-drilling, milling, and slotting in-cycle. Bar feeders and high-pressure coolant make most of these machines lights-out capable on validated programs.

CNC Sliding Head

Swiss-type sliding-head lathes are how we make the small, intricate brass parts — inserts, hose barbs, schrader bodies, electrical terminals — at scale. The guide bush gives us tight diameter control over long, slender features that fixed-head lathes can't match.

20+ Swiss-type sliding-head lathes
Excellent for slender, deep-feature parts
Sub-spindle pickup, no post-machining
Ideal for high-volume miniatures

VMC Machining

VMC cells handle the milling and drilling operations on forged blanks and any 3D feature that needs to be added after turning. Ideal for valve bodies, manifolds, and any part with off-axis ports or pockets.

Hot Brass Forging

Hot forging is how we make pressure-bearing brass parts. Closed-die forging gives controlled grain flow — the parts are stronger, denser, and more leak-tight than bar-machined equivalents. Forge, trim, coin, and machine all happen under our roof.

Brass Extrusion

Our extrusion line produces the brass rod that downstream machining and forging run on. Because we control extrusion ourselves, we can dial in chip control, surface finish, and dimensional consistency for the way the rod will be used — not just for incoming inspection.

Secondary Operations

Most brass parts need more than turning. Tapping, broaching, cross-drilling, knurling, slotting, and sub-assembly happen on dedicated stations within the machining floor, which keeps the loop short and avoids logistics handoffs.

Surface Finishing

Mechanical finishing (tumbling, polishing, sand-blasting) is in-house. Plating — nickel, chrome, tin, silver, zinc — runs through long-standing Jamnagar partners with full QC handover, typically returned in 2–3 days.

Inspection Facilities

Inspection at Brasstech is built around SPC and traceability. Every critical dimension is sampled to a control plan; every lot is tied to a raw-heat number. CMM and profile-projector data feed into a single dispatch record per lot.
